I give my car names of the moment, as needed. Most I can't write here.

Peace

Do you really want to take Bill for a ride?

Spend an hour inside Tommy?

I'll stick with female names, tyvm.

Forget naming the car.. I can't even stand it when people refer to their car as "her".
It's just a damn machine! Stop thinking it's your girlfriend!!!!!

I don't get the naming thing either although. like Bruce I have momentarily used 'names of the moment' to describe various cars I have owned :-)

I tend to stick to the name given by the company that birthed the car.

Honestly, they're equally embarrassing and cringey IMO.

I've only referenced my cars to a female when I snap a bolt or break my skin trying to break a bolt... "ahhh sh*t, you f**kin bi*ch" lol

Have you ever looked at the curves? I mean, Porsche is a woman's name.

I refer to it either as "The Porcsche," "Met Mobile Drei" or "The Attitude Readjustment Machine" depending on my mood. Alas, my wife has named our Ferrari "Dave" because she is convinced that Dave Letterman was the first owner.

I've never met a human named Porsche that didn't seem like there was some excess baggage following them around.

If F-car lived in Conneticut could be Letterman's but longshot at that.

Would be fun to hear some soundbites of mechanics verbal rants smashing/squeezing/hitting/gouging there hands & fingers working on cars

All vehicles I have are named after Ferris Bueller characters as that is my all time favorite movie.
