Rare doesn't always equal desirable, even with a Porsche

They may have fared better by making this manual like the Sport Classic...or switching around and making the SC a PDK.

I always disliked the looks of two Porsche's:
-the Speedsters (all except the 356).
-the 959 (to me it's not a beautiful car)

Rareness ("my car options combo is one of only xx made") I have never understood when I came into the Porsche world and I still don't get it.

Agree that the Speedster is more unpractical and not faster or lighter than a GTS so I don't see the point. Also manual roof if I remember right and I think you have to be two persons to fold it......

I'd buy a 2011 Turbo and invest the remaining $210k in the stock market*

* after the next big crash which is coming any day now.

I hate to be one of the re-enlist guys, but technically the sport classic is the rarest.

It is interesting that many thinks that market is going to crash any day now. How do you foresee that? Just because we passed 10 years from last crash doesn't mean we are due for one now

Personally I thin it wont happen anytime now...MAYBE after 5 years or so...and thats just a maybe

Some want a crash for political reasons.
