Goal when spacing wheels out
What is the right balance of how far out a wheel should be spaced without going crazy and putting a lot of undue stress on bearings or throwing rocks off the tires into the paint all of the time.
Is the ideal aesthetic spacing one that appx puts the outside edge of your rim flush with the outer lip of the fenders?
These look ideal to me. ( JustRob's) Your thoughts ?

I think a lot of the reason 7mm front spacers are so popular is that with 15mm in the front, I assume I will throw more debris up but the fit looks A LOT better. I am guessing that the 7mms don't throw as much debris. In the rear for a NB and 295s, 15mm is the standard, and it seems like a solid choice. I have 305s and 15mm spacers with Lobster forks and I wouldn't mind seeing the same set up on 295s.
The problem is, different wheels, different tires, different suspension, and etc. all have an effect on how the wheels will sit in relation to the fender.

IMO, anywhere in the top 1/3 of the wheel, a long horizontal straight edge should touch both sides of the fenders. If it also touches the edge of the tire, that's OK, but not if it touches the wheel (then you have the stretched tire look

Do you know your wheel widths and offsets? Spacer widths won't mean much without the other corresponding information as not all OEM wheels are the sane width and offset. Probably embossed in the wheel near the valve stem.

A major factor in wheel spacer selection (assuming wheels and tires are a constant) is vehicle ride height. Lower ride height (increased negative camber) typically allows use of larger spacer sizes at all 4 corners. ie. running 15mm all around (per "TheBruce's" recommendation) vs 7mm Front 15mm Rear. As with anything else the ideal track width, look or stance is subjective to the individual.
