I went with 10mm/15mm on my 997.1 C2 lowered on coilovers. For me it’s the perfect fit, look and have no regrets.

What size is recommended for a 2009 4S with 235/19 fronts and 305/19 rears. Is 15mm too much for wide body with 305s in the rear?

Good thread!

I just dropped my 997.1 TT on Bilstein B16 Coils. Will be spacing the wheels in a week after the suspension settles. Looking at 8mm / 20mm.

Need to confirm understanding of spacers relative to reduced offset.
In theory, 19x8 wheels w 42mm offset should achieve the same as running 15 mm spacers w stock 19x8 57 offset.
I’m about to order wheels and desires the flush and deep dish look at the same time.
Was thinking ordering 19x11 36mm offset as well with logic of stock 51 - 15mm spacer.

Should work right?

thx.

do you have a photo of your wheels? remember some oem wheels are 8.5 and some are 8. have to see which wheel to know for sure.

15s for sure in the back will be fine with a WB car with 305. the fronts if you have the 8inch front wheel you can do 10-12mm. 7mm is too weak, and 15mm while looking good (i run these), I still tell my friends do do 12mm to be a little on the safer side.

19x8 wheels w 42mm - fronts yes.

for your rears, if your car a NB or WB? if WB then yes 19x11 36mm will work.. if NB 19x11+51 mm MAX

Don't forget you can go wider too.
For example, OEM 997.2 GT3 wheels are:

Front: 8.5 x 19" +53 mm offset

Rear: 12 x 19" +63 mm offset

wider wheels = wider tires.

I went with 20mm in the rear on a 2007 cab S. I am using 20 inch rims off a 991. 305's in the back.

No, it is about perfect with stock wheel offsets.

Default Spacers

I went with 15mm front and back, my thoughts were I liked the look and moving all four corners out the same should maintain the suspension geomerty. the weird thing is I just put new Michlein Sports on ( tires and wheels balanced as normal) took the car for a run for the first time with the front spacers installed and picked up a wooble at 55-65 mph. My first guess is that I threw a weight ............... as soon as the world comes alive again I will take back down for a rebalance. I could not imagine the spacers would have anything to cause the condition............ thoughts, would like to lower the car but have a driveway that I already have to enter at a angle not to drag the front lip...
