has anybody installed the sport exhaust system available thru Suncoast? My 997.1 has the factory Sport mode and apparently this system wires into your “Sport” button so you still have on/off control. Wondering what the prevailing opinion is out there- it’s like $3300.

Unless you just like the idea of the button making the exhaust note louder, i'd personally just Gundo hack it. Much cheaper and all the sound of sport exhaust.

For $3300 you can get the gundo and a good set of 200 cell cats and then you'll really have an exhaust to love! And you'll still have money left over....

let’s pretend for a moment that I don’t know what 200 cell cats means, you know, for the benefit of some of the other folks here, and maybe you can elaborate? Of course I know exactly what you mean but just in case...

Also I would like to be able to turn that on/off as sometimes it would be better to be quieter. I do like the idea of a little boost at lower RPMs- that is my only criticism of my C4S- I feel like it takes awhile to get up and going from rest.

Porsche standard cats are 300 cell (i think) and they are more restrictive due to emission and noise regs (ie quieter and a bit cleaner). Going with 200 cell cats just makes it less restrictive and hence louder. The combo with a gundo is awesome

Just search here under "200 cell cats" and you'll find more than enough to keep you busy for hours.....

You cant turn off bolt on cats. Its quite a bit lower growl but unless you start to get on it, its not offensive ie its manageable. Now stomping on it downtown will turn heads and could be offensive to some (like the guy in the other thread that thought a cross pipe was "bruttish)
