I'm a Silver/Grey Porsche guy - I believe Meteor Grey is the best choice so far - Here's my Meteor Grey 2007C4S living here in Downtown Seattle

With all the gray skies and so many other gray and silver cars on the road, why not step out and get something different? How about a nice Guards Red Porsche? Get something that looks different in a color photo than it does in a black and white photo!
If I ever buy a silver or gray 911 (unlikely), I would probably lean towards GT Silver or Polar Silver. Polar is very hard to find in a 997, while GT Silver is a bit more common.

^^^IMHO I think the only car that looks good in red is Ferrari - Mercedes and Porsche not so good

Meteor is not necessarily a darker gray than seal gray, but actually it's the difference in the shades of colors you see when the sun hits it. Meteor Gray favors "brown" hues in the gray where as Seal Gray favors "blue" hues.
although the sun at dawn, high noon, or dusk can really play with these colors. If you live in a cloudy climate with not a lot of sun light then unfortunately you will be missing out on how great these grays look with the metallic flakes showing off all the curves
I think they are both great colors. My C4S is Seal Gray and my Cayenne S is in meteor gray.
I also think you will not have too much of a choice depending on year you chose. Seal gray was only used 2000-2008 I think (996-997.1) . Beginning 2008- 2012 they only used Meteor gray (997.2 mostly)
Atlas and Slate were also limited to certain years.

Yeah the grays might be a bit too gray for the northwest. My dark silver mini is very dark and has a lot of metal flake in it. It’s a gorgeous color and makes the wheels pop. I had to do a little touch up and the touch up is basically black with silver flakes.
I’m thinking GT silver or atlas or basalt to get good contrast in overcast light.
The only color I’d consider is dark blue. I’m a neutral tone kind of guy. I think I’d go white before blue.
Now if it was a 964 that’s be a different story...

I have a Platinum Silver Met and it's not really 'platinum; in my view (my wedding ring is platinum so I have an easy comparison). I strongly prefer Polar Silver Met of the P silvers.
Here's the Polar next to Arctic. (from and old RL thread) - https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...ar-silver.html
