Default New (To Me) 997

Hello All,

I recently purchased a 993. I thought I would use it as a DD, but then I decided I needed something more modern, enter the 997. It seems like it will make DD a little easier indeed.

Beautiful 997. If you purchased it from Holt in West Chester it's probably as solid as they come. Tim and company have great cars.

Sawwweeet! Nothing like a guards red Porsche 911! Now, all you need is a red race suit and some of those leather gloves to match!

Thank you all!

It did come the clear side markers, and LED front bumper markers/parking lights. I am considering adding LED tail lights to complete the look. A Schnell cold air intake hose round up the "upgrades". Nice upgrades IMO.

I've always thought a Red/Black Porsche is Classic... maybe a product of my experience in the 80's. Having fulfilled my need for an Arena Red '90's Porsche, Red was the next natural choice. (I will most likely end up getting a third Silver car in the future, the other classic color IMO).

This car is very clean. Relatively low miles (37K). Interior is great. Engine is powerful and suspension feels tight. Only driven it a few times so far.

To those who have deviating color gauges: I noticed some of my "white on red" numbers have lost their white. It looks a little off balance, as the numbers don't "light up at night". Its a very subtle thing as it only affects the 175 and 200 numbers in the smaller temp gauge. Is this normal wear?

I'm looking into "personalizing" the car with many mostly cosmetic add ons/changes:

I bought a set of Carrera S "lobster fork" wheels, and plan to paint those.
Red inside door handles
Red around the shifter trim
Red cup holder trim
Leather center console and PCM trim
Lloyd carpets all around
Color match the headlight washer nozzle caps
I am a sucker for wings and everything "Aero Pckg", my favorites are the 1rst. GEN GT-3 look, or the classic Ducktail... OEM pieces are always SO expensive so may have to go to the usual suspects (Misha, Getty...).

Finally, dealing with Tim at Holt Motorsports has been great. He is attentive, pleasant, and extremely responsive/available. Absolutely no complaints. I do have a small issue with the transport company that we hove we can resolve appropriately. Tim has offered to help, and I have all my confidence in him.

If any one has any suggestions, any of the above items that would like to sell, etc. please let me know.

CHEERS!!

Default Floor mats

I'm a fool for Lloyd mats. They can take years off an old cabin. Not that any of my P-cars are "tired", but new mats make my day...

Nice .mods! How did you get Porsche on the matts? I thought they couldn't do that because of copyright.
