New (To Me) 997

I love what you are doing to your car. It really pops and looks great, including the lobster forks in black. I've been thinking about picking up a spare set to use with winter tires. I currently have Sport Design wheels on my car and it is great to see them in black. Validated my decision to powder coat mine black. Keep up the great work!
Re: differences between 993 and 997, both are fantastic cars in their own right. It can be unfair to compare because they are similar but also so different. It is like trying to compare blondes to brunettes and basically comes down to personal taste. That said, if I had to have only one, I would choose the 997. To me it is the better all-around car. I come from the aircooled world and have had 4, including a 95 993 with a ton of mods. At this point in my life, the 997 checks all the right boxes: performance, luxury, looks, driving dynamics. What kicks it over the top is the value of these cars. You get a lot of bang for your buck with a 997. A nice 993 C4S will go for $60-80K. For same money, you are talking a very low-mile 997 S or even a GTS.
I wish I had bought a 997 years ago. I didn't know what I was missing. My aircooled friends continue to give me ****, but they truly don't know what they are missing. These are fantastic cars and I believe they are purist form of Porsche's water-cooled cars with the best combination of driving dynamics and modern technology (relatively), yet still providing an analog-like experience. One last note: if you don't have the factory short-shifter, I highly recommend installing it. It really changes the feel of the car. Someone told me it is the same shifter as the one in the GT3, but I am not sure about that. Regardless, worth every penny.

Excellent thoughts and thank you for the compliments.
I am now working on adding a few pieces of leather to the interior. Some of the plastic bits and pieces are not my favorite.
i also want a set of black exhaust tips...
money, money....

Three Wheelin'
Sweet combo with the cars. Lobster forks/claws look good and that Nurburgring sticker is cool as well.

There is something special about Arena Red. I don't even like red. But ever since I first saw an Arena Red 993, it has been my dream car. One day...
For now, the more practical side has me on the hunt for a 997. That seems to be the consensus here as well.

The day you realize you can afford something is a very special day... I am so grateful.
