should I take some out and how ( release the oil filter?)

As others have said, yes, that's over full. If the segment is solid it's only a little over full, if flashing, it's a lot overfilled, but I can't quantify those.

After 3 times releasing the oil filter canister and 1.75 quarts were removed. The computer form the cluster told me to wait for 30 minute while the ignition key in on. Now it’s at the bottom of the mark. I think i should drive it for a couple of miles

This is what I took out

Your low now. I wouldn't drive it like that. Check it in the morning. If it's still below the bottom arrow, add 0.25 quarts. Wait 10 minutes then check it again. If still off the gauge, add another 0.25 quarts. Repeat this process until you get the bottom 2 full segments illuminated - this means the top partial section above the top arrow and the full segment under the top arrow will both still be blank. This should all be done before starting the motor. Once you get to that point, then you can start it and go for a drive. Check it again the next morning - it will probably be lower since some of that oil on the gauge wen to fill the filter. If so, follow the adding 0.25 quarts every 10 minutes until you get back to 2 solid bars above the bottom arrow and 1 empty full bar below the top arrow. This will tell you how far overfull you were at the beginning and how much of that 1.75 quarts you needed to put back in. Then on the next oil change, start about 1/2 quart below this number and add until you get to the right level.

Marucus, your initial meter is what mine looked like after adding 8.7 qt. I dumped a single filter of oil and now I'm within the correct range. Seems like you went too far. The gauge seems very sensitive.

Stupid gauge. Mine was on the blinking bottom line. Put in 1/2 qt. Drive around. Still blinking. Put in other half. Drove around. Showed full like OP's the next morning. Drove a few miles, showed two big bars since.

Gimme a dipstick.

My 997.2 did that for a while. I was going to replace the sensor but it stopped behaving badly. I don't know why. Anywho, now I measure what comes out, and put that amount in... maybe a bit more depending on where the reading was before I drained.

Peace
