Need a part# for broken "door handle lock pivot"
Hi all - heard a pop when opening my door this morning and looks like a common issue with a broken $20 door handle lock pivot. I've seen the write-ups on replacing and seems straightforward. However I cant find the official Porsche part #. Ive seen it called the "door handle lock pivot" and on Suncoast they call it the "Door Handle Lever" https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/9X7HL.html. However I cant find it on my local dealer parts site.
Any help appreciated. Saves me 20% if I order online and then pickup at my local dealer vs calling them.

I've read you can use the original cable with the new updated axle. There is a DIY on that somewhere here.

You guys rock. That was it: 997-555-382-02. They call it generically "mount bracket". Found it on my local dealer parts site for $8. Will replace tmrw and report back.

Be careful as you pry the pin on the pivot assembly from the holes in the 2 thin plastic pieces. A little lubricant on that pin first might help too. Have some spare door panel clips on hand.
Once you reinstall the new part on the backside of the door panel, fit the silver handle you pull to open the door onto the mount and make sure it lays properly against the door spear. The 3 screws that hold the assembly on the backside if the panel have adjustability in the mounts and if you don't get it aligned right, the pin molded into the silver handle that activates the microswitch to drop the window when opening the door won't work.

Did u guys replaced the Bowden cable? the pivot assembly is new and has a different connector. Ive got the new cable but havent seen any write-ups on how to replace the cable. I have seen a video of a guy saying you can use the old cable with new arm but need to remove the little plastic grommet that looks like it keeps the cable z-arm snug.

@Pete - thanks for your tips on this, especially aligning the handle before you put the door back on. I was able to use the new lever with the old cable. You just remove the rubber grommet and slide it in. There is a youtube video out there on it.
Biggest hassle was resetting the clips and getting the door panel back on. Im ashamed to say but I had to do it 3 times. First time worked like a charm until I realized the power window switch wasn't connected correctly and the window switch wouldn't work. Off it came, more clips broken. Didnt take as much time resetting the clips and it wouldn't sit flush. Off it came again. Reset the clips properly and 3rd time was a charm.

You're becoming s 997 expert - not sure you can move to an air cooled car.

Nope, I didn't use the cable that came with it. No need. Fix what's broken only. Button it up and go for a ride.
