Quirky observations about your Porsche

I do feel that in LA,...
Last, is the Mustang a natural enemy of the 911? I have never had more of one model harass me until I got my 911 in February. I have had my car almost 8 months now, and very regularly ONE type of car harasses me on the streets and on the freeway when I am just cruising minding my own business. If I had to pick one car that continually does asshat stuff around me, trying to race me, or just trying to get me to simply recognize their lame sad existence before they skid off into a crowd of people, it has to be Crustangs. ...just a question.

Back up manual pull cable for the rear lid is behind the driver side taillight.
Problem is you have to open the rear lid (eye roll) in order to remove the taillight to get to the pull cable that opens the rear lid.

Although this seems to be the solution:

No need to remove the taillight. On a 997 you can thread the steel cable pulling loop through a body hole under the left rear taillight. I hold it there with a piece of duct tape near the entering hole. Then in an emergency just fish the cable pulling loop with a bent paper clip through the gap between the taillight bottom and bumper.

Turn your turn signal on, then turn off the car before it cancels. You will get a warning chime and "lights are on" message" on the dash that won't stop until you manually cancel the turn signal.

Another one: If you change the voice of the Nav system to the lady with the English accent, she refuses to say "street", but instead substitutes the word "alley", even if the map clearly says "street".
