Default 991 Style Custom Rear Skirts / Splitters on 997.2 - DONE!

As many of you know, last year I decided to do a custom install of the 991 OEM Side Skirts onto my 997.2 C2, as Porsche does not make any side skirts available for the non AWD 911's.
No one had ever done it before so it was quite a challenging project. Details of that project in the thread linked below as well as the reasons I went with 991 skirts instead of 997.

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...l#post14229861

Over the past 6 months I've spent WAY too many weekends designing and making dozens of prototypes, 3 different design variations/concepts to complete the look. I wanted to have direct bolt on, matching rear skirts/splitters, along the same lines as the GT3, and also maintain a matching style with the 991 skirts.

More details to follow as time allows.
In the interim, here are some pics of the result...

With the front lip and sides, those rear splitters just brings it all together. Looks awesome! And very creative getting everything retrofitted. I know that stuff can't be easy to do without some handywork and skills!

Added some closeup pics of the part to the end of the initial post.
Will take some more pics this weekend showing how they bolt onto the bumper.

WOW.

You sir, are a hero.

If these are even close to fitting a 997.1 rear with a little work, sign me up.

Thanks all. It was definitely not easy to get the OEM look, given the curvature at the base of the standard 997.2 bumper, but I'm glad I persisted.

GT3_ISH - I haven't had a chance to compare the underside of a 997.1 bumper yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I can.

I need to do something to stop the peppering my lower side paint & rear haunches are receiving. Still in research & data gathering mode for mine.

Necro thread bump! Curious if these are being made or will be coming out soon for 997.1, especially GT3.

LateBraking.
All my recent spare time was consumed by the 997.1 spoiler adapter kits. I'm currently looking into doing a wide body (997.2) version of the skirts, based on a request from a fellow forum member.

I had one member test the 997.2 NB skirts on a 997.1 NB but there are some adjustments that need to be made due to the slight curvature differences.
They looked good fitted to the 997.1, but I would want them to fit precisely as they do on the 997.2.

Too many projects - too little time
Send me a PM of what you're looking for and I'll be happy to comment further and see if I can fit it into my plans somewhere.
