exhaust clips are not great for depicting the true sound IMO. It’s not obnoxious at all, but I always like cars to be on the louder side. I don’t think 911’s should have an exhaust button, it should always be on the loud setting. Best bet is to hear it in person but either way you wouldn’t be disappointed.

I've got the triplet. LOL! Wonder how many 2012 997.2 GTS coupes in meteor grey were built?

Your garage wall art is awesome. What wheels are they?

Gorgeous car. Had a C4S just like it, For the exhaust, that center muffler has to go, Totally ruins the sound of the car and must weigh at least 50 lbs as well, I have Sharkwerks bypass pipes on mine and with PSE off it's no louder than stock. Push that little muffler button on the console though and you'll get a wake up call just approaching 4,000 rpm.

With this bypass do you still have the muffler button functionality? Would you say that with the bypass the valves closed sounds like the stock valves open? (If that makes any sense at all)

HRE P101's. The stock spyder wheels are in a rack just above the 40th anniversary poster in that pic.

Yes. The muffler button only controls the PSE side cans and has nothing to do with the bypass pipes. Not sure I understand the second part of your question. You seem very concerned with excessive noise and all I can tell you is that even with the bypass pipes and the PSE valves closed it's quiet enough where I can't imagine the kind of neighbor who would complain. Most lawn mowers are louder than a 997 with bypass pipes and the PSE off.

Were you in the South Bay by chance this morning? I saw 997 black GTS ahead of me getting on 17 to 880 in Los Gatos, couldn't catch up though.
