Default Assistance Please: Painted Lobster Claw Wheels

Looking to paint my my lobster claw wheels a specific two tone colour.

I want to paint the entire wheel guards red with the outer lip in silver. Can any help me out with a photoshop/picture of this specific two-tone setup?

I have no Photoshop skills, but thought a picture of s similar concept might be helpful. Look forward to someone else with talents to show us that wheel!

Hmmm didn't think I would like it at first. Thought the grey ones looked reallly mice, but the red matches the lights and to me looks pretty cool. I am all for changing it up a little. I have three sets of wheels and tires. One set is cold weather and two warm. I have my fake Fuchs on now but will switch to Turbo Ii's soon. Go for it. It looks cool.

The 996 GT3RS had a similar colour scheme for the wheels - spokes being red and the lip in silver.
Personally, I'm not a fan of wheels with a lot of spokes - too much hassle to keep them clean :P

I really loved the looks of my fake fuchs on my old 997. I'm planning on doing it for my current 997 as well
I've seen folks doing the petals of the fuchs in different colours, but I like the black best.

i agree with you about the too many spokes. Bery BMWish to me and hard to cllean as you said. That is why I am selling my Sport Design P wheels. I have contemplated powdercoating them black. I see new Panameras with that.

This is why I love this forum so damn much. Thank you!

Please see an image of my 997CS below - I visualised in my mind that the lobsters painted in guards red (but with a silver lip around the perimeter of the wheel) would look very 996 GT3RSish (in fact it was the colour scheme that has been posted above that has sparked this interest and so I'm glad we've got a meeting of the minds!) I would be super greateful if one of you (I would but but Adobe skills are as useless as **** on a bull) could bring my idea to life and shade the wheels (and caps around the colored crests) in guards red in the attached photo and keep the outer lip silver.

If it looks as good as it presents in my mind - I will paint them up and post the results!

Photoshop would be peachy, but another quick $5 test would be to buy a can of plastidip or equivalent and try it out.
If you don't like it, then it peels off easily.
I did that test with my lobster forks (in black) prior to buying the fake fuchs.

When you say "good image with guards red" are you wanting me to provide you with a better quality image than the one above?

Thank you in advance.

Plasti Dip is a great idea. The red might be different than you want but super easy. I did my previous Boxster wheels in black Plasiti. I did one side first still on the car. Then I looked at each side and decided to do all four. Colors or so personal. You will get too many different opinions. Just do it! I love bright colored rims.
