After us winning a 911 Carrera T with BOTB.com we were forced to take the cash alternative due to taxes here in Ireland. Honestly, it took a long time to come to terms with not getting our Carrera T. So, for the last few weeks we've been busy car hunting. Last week I picked up a Gen 2 911 Carrera PDK, carrara white with black Turbo 2 wheels and black interior.
Flew to London in the UK to collect and drove to the ferry in Pembroke, Wales to get back to Ireland. Last month we picked up a white 2016 VW Beetle for the wife. It was a total coincidence both cars are white.
So, even though we didn't get our Carrera T we haven't done too badly. Here's a few pictures of our new cars.

Yes, we would have been ordering our own car. BOTB cover VAT but not any other taxes different countries have. Was told the tax was in the region of €55,000 to €60,000.
It was tough to refuse the car. I didn't talk to anyone for about 2 days. But now we both have 2 nice new cars, so all was not lost.

Hi John, Ronan here. I followed your original post on the 991 forum and was bummed when I saw the news. I had a 997.2 and now have a 991.2, and in some ways I prefer the 997! Congrats and she's a keeper for sure.
