Default 997.2 Base X-pipe vs Crossover pipr

Torn between the two as I really like the FVD systems, keep in mind I will have to purchase S tips, nothing is compatible with base tips apparently.

Looking for deep sound, burble on start up and between shifts. Open to ideas or anyone's used system.

Has anyone tried Billy Boat mufflers on a .2, can't find a video anywhere even called them and they didn't have one either.

Has the sharkwerks crossover vs Fabspeed X-pipe been settled officially. Just looking for what is deeper tone.

I was looking for performance and not sound and went for the sharkwerks center pipe. I didn’t notice much from inside the car and I drive with the windows down. I did notice it pulls better along with an ipd plenum it opens it up to where it should be while keeping the neighbors happy

By the way, on the 997.2, the exhaust tips share the same inlet diameter between the the base and the S, they are interchangeable. You can use your base tips if you desire.

Yes, I have the Billy Boat crossover pipes with Fister exhaust. Sounds great. Loud on start up and then it quiets down when the rpms level off around 7-800. On acceleration it sounds great with PDK in auto (somewhat quiet but still very knurly), and on full manual it sounds great winding out the gears and has all the gurgle and bubbles you would want on downshifting especially at 3rd to 2nd.

I think the general population has found that the X-pipe frees up more power but it's a bit raspy. The crossover pipes might not blow your butt dyno away, but you'll retain some low end exhaust notes.

I'm trying to remember my sequence of experimentation. I had the fabspeed pipes first because that's what came up first sale (used). I installed them by themselves and they didn't do much for me. They do look nice though and are well made. Then some sharkwerks pipes appeared (used) and I bought them. Swapped them out and added the fisterD mufflers. Liked the sound and couldn't be bothered experimenting more so I stopped.

I don't know if there's a real consensus and my post probably didn't help one bit now that I'm re-reading it. I guess when buying new it's a bit more of a challenge as you have to decide. When buying used, you buy whichever one comes up first at a good price.

I added a plenum and felt that smoothed things out a bit and actually made the car like 10% less loud.

I'm confused. Cross-over vs X pipe. Which one has a connection to equalize pressure? On motorcycles, the exhausts with a connection typically have better low and mid range.

OK...I looked it up. X pipe from Fabspeed is connected and shares exhaust flow.

I added the carnewal.com remote device for "always on" sport mode for those who have the PSE. Makes a great sound difference at low speed and you still can manage peace with your neighbors as needed.

I have a set of Fisters, but they sound a bit raspy on the high end of the RPM range. Which center muffler solution minimizes the raspy sound and gives more of a deep growl?
