Default Issues with high mileage 997.2 C4S?

I am looking at 2010 997.2 C4S with PDK today with 67k miles on the clock. Any issues I should be looking for? Any issues with mileage this high aside from resale? I do not believe the car has all service record history but will get a PPI if I decide I like the vehicle.

Edit: Well the car I'm looking at sold so now I'm looking at an 11' C4S with 51k miles that's listed for 14k more.. What is a 2011 C4S PDK Sport Chrono PASM with 51k on the clock worth?

i bought my 2009 c4s with 66k on the clock. Im not worried about the mileage at all and i actually prefer a car that has been driven instead of sitting for weeks or months at the time with all gaskets and rubber drying out. My car runs perfect and has no issues so far. Theres bunch of guys on here with well into 100s on the clock and they can all tell you that this is one of the most reliable cars theyve had.

Time frame might be due for large regular service (every 4 years plugs and belt), if not completed try to negotiate that in.
As you mentioned, get a good PPI

Best of luck

Thanks, looks like plugs front brakes and fuel pump were done in 2017 but no belt.

No prob. Sometimes they'll just visually inspect the belt, if it looks OK it stays. It's a low cost item anyways.

Either way all 6 year and 60k mile should be done. Check prices with local dealer and indy.

PDK service should have been done by 2017 at the latest on that car. I'd be looking out for it as a key indicator of how well the car has been taken care of.

Don't see PDK service on the carfax. What needs to be done and what does it run?

Opinions differ on what needs to be done, even amongst Porsche dealerships. There is official maintenance schedule, there is differing opinions from owners and porsche dealerships, and then there is common sense.

I believe the official maintenance schedule (which you should familiarize yourself with, at least for the buying process).. calls for PDK fluid change at 6 years or 60k miles.

https://gaudinporschelv.com/images/d...9_911S_997.pdf

Differing sources will say, just the fluid or the fluid and the pan, or the fluid at one point and then the pan and the fluid later. Logic says if you're changing out the fluid you change out the filter that cleans the fluid, else you'll be left with clean fluid that gets scrubbed by a dirty filter.

I had the pan (with integrated filter) changed along with the fluid. I was able to note an immediate and drastic difference in the shift quality of the car. I paid about $1200 for it at the dealership. Become a PCA member, the discount alone will pay for the membership on the very first service you have done at the dealership.

I just bought a 2009 C4S with 62k miles, no worries about reliability and I plan on daily driving it. Mine did not have the 60k service done so I did negotiate that in to lower the price. Planning on having that done shortly, I believe the dealer local to the seller said 1300 for the whole service without pan. The PDK in 2011 does not need the pan replaced at 60k miles that is primarily on the 2009's because of a defect in the drain plug. The pan does get changed at 120k miles if I can remember correctly.

No, I bought the car from a private seller so I didn't get a warranty.

Know anyone selling a C4S? Haha I went and saw the car in question and thought the paint was terrible. My 100k mile 335i I’ve never parked indoor has better paint...

Other than the 60K miles PDK service already mentioned, water pumps failing once you get to and past 40K miles aren't unheard of. Mine failed at 43K miles on the -09 C4S and took the serpentine belt out in the process. A $1,200 repair as I recall it.
