Am radio reception

Just acquired a 2007 997.1 with 53,xxx miles. Car is in great shape overall but radio reception is weak on FM and non-existent on AM (yes, I do still listen to AM radio on occasion.
Any suggestions on what to check?

Sounds like the antenna under the dash might be disconnected from the Windshield
