Default Video review of the Foxwell NT510 with Porsche software...

Hello all

I made this video review of some of the major functions of the nt510 with porsche software.

it offers remarkable functionality for the price and most of the functions the durametric pro offers.

The only feature lacking currently is the service reset but im told they are scheduling an update for that

please note im no actor but just wanted to explain some of the functions

Nice, thorough review. Good show!
Does it permit reprogramming of the passenger side window function?
Did you order a Porsche specific scanner , then go to the Foxwell website?
It's listed for $179 on Amazon. Where did you purchase.

Thanks in advance for all the info...

Thanks man

i got mine direct from foxwell on sale for $149 and it cae with one free car software. You can load several manufacturers on there if u have several cars.

http://m.foxwelltool.com/wholesale/nt510-multi-system-scanner-with-one-fre-car-brand-software-and-obd.html

You can code a ton of comfort convenience functions. Let me know which one and ill check. You can clear airbags as well

Does this show overrevs (range 1 - 6)?

What about ECU operating hours and POSIP (airbag) operating hours?

Thanks.

It would be worth it to reprogram the passenger window switch to the "single-press" to full auto-up. You demonstrated the seatbelt chime defeat and the side marker reprogram, which would be 2nd and 3rd on my wish list. The Durametric does all of these things, albeit for a hefty cost.

This is great info thanks. I wonder if the 997.2. Will have these same coding functions. If I remember correctly durametric pro has less functions for 997.2 compared to 997.1
They also have a newer nt520 available for $179 now with support for lancia and Mercedes.

The Durametric does passenger window? New on to me.... where did you read this? I have the Durametric pro and am unaware how to do this... I need to know! BTW 997.1 and .2 are different animals regarding the computer.

Hey Bruce- I was wrong on the comment about Durametric being able to fit the passenger window auto up issue. I confused the Durametric programming that you and others have posted about with Mods4Cars "RemoteKey" device:

the nt510 does most of the functions of remotekey. The windows on my 9971 have 1 press auto down for the passenger side and one press auto up only after the windows halfway up. I notice even on the remote key description it says that some cars will only be able to do 1 press auto up after their halfway up as well. I have a feeling its the exact same as on my car. You can activate all the comfort functions from the remote key fobs and you can mess with the alarm horn chime etc etc

Let me look for that one. Any idea what its called in durametric? I tried accessing the "rear" module and got no communication but the spoiler could be under even the safety module too so let me look for that one.

I received my NT510 today but:

- I am unable to display overrevs on my 2012 997.2 Targa 4 (345 hp), shows all blank

- Does not show operating hours of POSIP (airbag)

I previously owned iCarSoft POR II and Durametric Professional and I rate the NT510 much better value.
