Cool Flash, I am considering getting the NT510 as well. Does it do the same type of coding that the Durametric pro is capable of doing? I have a 2010 C2S Cab and thought I read that the Durametric Pro or the NT510 don't play well with 997.2 vehicles. Do you think the Durametric Pro is overkill, not to mention much higher cost than the NT510. Thanks

I received my NT510 today but:
- I am unable to display overrevs on my 2012 997.2 Targa 4 (345 hp), shows all blank
- Does not show operating hours of POSIP (airbag)
I previously owned iCarSoft POR II and Durametric Professional and I rate the NT510 much better value.

Any idea if this tool will do the "handover procedure?" My Homelink is not working and I think a slowly dying battery is the culprit. My nearest dealer is 30 miles away and I think they would charge me an hour on PIWIS anyway..!!

Anyone used the newer nt520? Can it clear service light?
The Roswell nt520 and the icarsoft por-II i960 is in the same price range. Still deciding which is a better buy. Ability to read over rev and engine operating hours would be nice.

I also use the NT510 but on my BMW M3, its very intuitive and very capable device. Main reason I got it was that I can pay $60 and it will give me full support of my 997 as well. As thats all they charge if you want to get multi car support of different makes..

I purchased the NT520 and it can read codes and clear codes as well as reset service light. I also have the pro Durametric cable and the NT520 reads the same codes. I recently updated the NT520 software to read my son’s MB ML350 for only $60. Easy to do and came in handy reading a check engine light on the Benz. For the money and the convenience the NT520 is a good buy. The Durametric allows me to run and record engine diagnostics.

I just did the last software update (JUN of 2018) to my NT510 and it will not reset my service interval on the 997.1 much less the 997.2. On the positive side it did re-calibrate my steering wheel sensor after I just installed a 991.2 paddle shifting wheel.

Is there a product out there than can recode a 997 for fixed rear deck or is that still a trip to the dealership?

Can someone give a list of all custom coding options using this or similar device? I would like the 1-up passenger window. Maybe reprogram with spoiler deployment. What else can we do?
