Thank you all very much for the info and the pics.
I keep going back and forth with this.
Here's a pic of what this combo would look like. This car is the same color as mine, and these are my same OEM Turbo II wheels. (This is not my car.)
Again, the main reason for this is to get the use out of the $$$ I spent for the tires. When they're done, I'll go back to the stock 19" setup with new tires and sell the Turbo II wheels alone.
I would just sell the Turbo II wheel/tire combo, but I'm not having any luck with that. It's a $7500 set, and I haven't even had a bite at $2999. and they are pristine.

Your tires are not the correct size for a 997 even on 20 inch wheels. The sidewalls are too high.

if i were doing 20s id do oz leggera which are like 24lbs iirc

I get the desire to have 20s on the 997, but I think most of the effect can be achieved with 19s plus spacers and a bit of tasteful lowering. Then you get the more flush, aggressive stance but don't sacrifice driveability or make your rotors look disproportionately small.

Yes you can fit 20” wheels. Mine is lowered on Techart wheels and springs. Perfect spacing with no rub. But as everyone mentioned. Your tires are too tall.

Unfortunately this seems to be a new trend as the price of 997s come down, or maybe when I wasn't looking I got old. LOL.
its called Eurotuner look. Poke and stretch has been around the German Vdub scene since the 80’s. Definitely not for everyone, but actually much more old skool than most peeps think.

Thanks, everyone. With the tires being too tall, it's for sure a no-go.

Can anyone recommend a site to sell the wheels/tires? Should I just bite the bullet and go with Ebay?

Back from the dead … what is the proper size front to run on a 997.1 with 2013 Carrera S wheels that won’t rub the perch. 245/35 20 and 295/30 20 are stock 2013 sizes but fronts are too tall for the perch.

Trade them for a similar wheel style 19's with good tire size. Trust me, all will be better. If you want to get rid of the gap lower on Eibach or HR springs. Your car will be much happier

You have to run 235/35/20 to clear the perch. Rears are fine

FWIW - here his my 20c.

I have 2 sets of 20's for my 997. I am currently selling my HRE's as i just don't have the room. I love 20's on a 997. But hey - i ran 19's on a 993GT2 replica - so im already nuts.....
My tech came to my place to pick the car up and take it for its yearly service..... He had never seen this particular car before - (only my other ones) and when he dropped it off said he "thought" it was going to ride like crap when he saw it -but was amazed at how well it drove (Especially being so low and having 20's) and he said it pays to have good tyres (Michelin PS4) as it drove as good as a stock one.

Its your car - put 20's or 21's if you want! Lower it! Raise it! Cut the exhaust off it - its yours. As long as you keep the circumferences in ratio - it should be fine!

BTW - my rotors look appropriately sized behind both sets of 20's!

Anyone running 20s able to get 305/25/20 for rears? Or is it a bad idea to run lower than factory spec on load rating? I had to size up to 305/30/20 when I replaced tires last summer, but not a fan of the extra rubber.

To each his own but somethin just ain't right with those 20" wheels on these cars.
IMO 19" look and handle/track much better
