I have a 977.2 GTS with the Porsche Exhaust System, but even with the PSE the car really lacks in terms of sporting sound. I realize that 997.2 were produced in low numbers, but there is a great need and opportunity to develop an exhaust that is more sporting.
Are you guys doing any work on the 977.2s?
Thank you

PSE sounds good - but sounds even better with high flowing HJS 200 cell catalytic converter replacement pipes! Happy new year everyone, let us know if you have any questions about potential modifications!

One reason Softronic works so well with SOUL exhaust is because they properly make the pipes for the cats or delete separately. I will give a hint as to why its correct..... Does the horizontally opposed engine operate in pulses or a continual flow? Does that also apply to the exhaust?
Best,
Scott

Hi Mike,
I'm interested in a 997.1 Valved Muffler set up with new Tips. Think you can help me out? I'd love to have my car comfortable when I'm out cruising with my wife and small child, but screaming when on the track/solo drives. No drone on long highway runs, but aggressive when I want to just pin it.
What would you suggest and are there any Rennlist discounts? Also, I'm from Ontario Canada if you have any shops up here you'd recommend.

Hello Jon,
Mike showed me this post and asked me to chime in, thanks for inquiring! I have quite a bit of seat time in the 997s, specifically with the valved setup you're interested in. I also have one of my local customers named Albert that has been running that setup for awhile and I'm sure he would be happy to give you some independent feedback. In short though, I'm very confident that our 997.1 Valved Exhaust is going to exceed your expectations. From what my customers and I have experienced, valved closed is near factory comfort on long trips. With valves open the car is completely transformed, it absolutely Rips! That said, even with valves open it is very comfortable at cruising speeds with minimal drone/resonance. This is due to the way we have our system designed using the mufflers themselves as Helmholtz resonators with the valves open. It's a very slick setup, and if you have those Homelink garage door buttons you can even sync the signals from our key fob to them. That way you can use the existing buttons in the car to control the valves.
As for a dealer up there in Ontario, that's a pretty large area of Canada and we do have several shops up there we work with. Give me a ring at your convenience at 484 883 6197, we'll hone in on your area and come up with a game plan for installation. I look forward to hearing from you, and thanks again for reaching out
Best Regards,
John Gaydos
