Thumbs up My triple black GTS after detailing

The before picture was the day I bought the car. The dealer was having issues with the detail staff so I took it back over a month later for a proper detail. What a difference!

No, it looks like scratches but it was pine tree pollen which is extremely heavy in Spring here in NC.

Another + to NC (in addition to incredible mountain roads) is no front license plate to ruin the looks of the car.

Another NC GTS. Nice!

+1 for the mountain roads and +1 for the insane pollen too. I've lived all over the midwest, florida, georgia, kentucky... nothing prepared me for the pollen here this spring. I couldn't keep my car clean at all, not even in the garage. I open the garage door and in comes the pollen.

I’m in Raleigh too. I often see a triple black GTS coupe drive through my neighborhood ever now and then off of Creedmoor road.

I used to be triple black too until I changed my wheels. Those centerlocks do look nice.

Glad the pollen season is over now. My GTS was drenched as usual. I guess triple black refers to convertible roof top, body, and rims being black? Mine has silver wheels, considering painting them gold temporarily with plastidip in hopes of hiding brake dust.

I guess. So what if the interior is black too? Quadruple black? Glad to hear that mess on the hood was pollen. I was thinking scratches. Yikes....

Triple black is a convertible with black paint, black top and black interior. Wheels were just wheels back when the term was coined. Old geezer here, LOL

Yup, wheels don't count in the black reporting color scheme. Triple black is as dasams states here and why the 928 Spyder in my signature is also labrlled as triple black, with its silver wheels.

OP beautiful car - nothing looks better than a clean and super shiny black car. I'll be doing the annual detail on my 928 over the next couple weeks getting it ready for Sharks in the Mountains the first weekend of June. As hard as it is to believe, the best detail kit for black paint is Turtle Wax Jet Black where all the products in the kit are black, yup, Turtle Wax.

Man, I know Atlas Gray is a unique, more expensive option, but I really love all black like that. Beautiful! I am going to detail mine as sone as this freakin rain stops. Ugh

Love Atlas. Wish I had it. Reminds me of an E46 M3 I had in "Carbon Black". Both need darker wheels to do them justice though. Not black wheels but somewhere in the gunmetal zone. Silver wheels brings out too much of the underlying dark blue mixed in with the black in both of them.
