New here, winter wheels/tires and a bra
Greetings,
Awaiting delivery on a 997 C4S and I'm having difficulty locating a set of winter rims/tires. Any winter drivers out there have a package that they could recommend?
likewise, if I'm doing an initial polish and wax it would be a good time to apply a bra(cape cod sand!) anyone have a product they've applied that was best?
any info appreciated...my search skills may not be the best, I'm sure this has all been covered before but my results didn't include anything specific.

I used BBS CH-R wheels and Michelin winter tires on my wide body 997. It was a great combo.

Now that November is nearing and my car (and its winter and summer tires) are at about 10 years old, even with low mileage, the age is the cause for a change.
But I don't see that Michelins are available as a winter option from Tire Rack. Did they get out of the size? Looking at the Michelin site I see they dont make the rear sizes any more (295 or 265 for my R18s based on mixed messages as to what OEM was from Micheline and Tire rack). Poop.
Nokian or Pirelli are it now according to the Porsche PDF

I know this is an old post, but I have a set of 18's off my old 2005 Carrera. Obviously they are narrow body fitment, but spacers in the rear would take care of that. I don't know what they are worth, but they are in excellent shape, and I probably should set them to free up some garage space. Hartford area.

Michelin PA4 is only available up to a 255/40 R18. It might be fitable on a 10in rim, but it isn't the normal fitment and would be a little small/square
Pirelli sottozero ii are available in both the 265 and 295 widths for 18" and 295 for 19". My 265/40R18 sottozero's arrived last night on 18X10 ET41 BBS SR rear wheels for my C4S. I plan to install tonight. My summer tires have dropped off noticeably in the last two weeks as colder weather has settled in. I could probably get a couple more weeks out of them if only driving in warmer weather, but it is time to switch over.
Specifics
Front 18X8 ET BBS SR with 235/40R18 Sottozero S2 N1
Rear 8X10 ET41 BBS SR with 265/40R18 Sottozero S2 N1
I'll grab a photo in the light tomorrow. The rear wheel is not tucked as much as I thought it might be, though I'm fine with that for the sake of keeping snow and gravel off the painted bits of the fender. The fronts are right inside the fender line. They are really nice and quiet. I'd read that before, but I'm honestly surprised.

What size BBS wheels and which Conti tires and sizes are you running? I wanted the 295/35/18 conti dws06 but not available currently. I still cannot find someone to verify other rear sizes that will definitely work on a 4S, like 285/35 or 265/40/18.

I can confirm that a 265/40/R18 will fit on the 4S with a 10" rim. See my updated post above. On snow, you'll have a little better bite to the pavement with the narrower tire (not great, but better). It may not be available in N1 spec however. I see no reason that the 285/35 wouldn't fit on a 10" rim, but it will be a little smaller diameter than the 265/40, about 1/2" smaller.

Thanks for pics. Did you get that wheel set from Tire Rack? They have that in anthracite painted and it looked good for a winter set with good price. The site pictures made them look a little shinier than I prefer, but if that is same color, it looks better in real life all around. As much as I want a forged set, it makes little sense for the price for winter use for 4-5 months. They'll be dirty most of the time anyway.
