Airbag light on after...
My first, and second, gear are a little hard to find at times. This is especially true when the car is cold. Anyway, I decided to try to adjust my shifter using the Porsche adjustment tool. This entailed removing the entire center console. If you've done this, you understand the chore to remove, and replace, the wires under the console. What I am afraid of, I either missed a connection OR damaged something. Does anyone know if there are connections under there that would effect the airbag light shown in the photo? This light happened after my work. BTW the adjustment didn't do a damn thing.

Same thing happened to me after removing the center console even with the batttery out of the car. It’s likely the ‘Passenger air bag off’ light is either broken, shorted or not hooked up.
Thats what my Dura told me. I ordered a new light but will also remove the center console again to check all the wiring just to be sure. Doesn’t take too long and couldn’t hurt.
Good of luck and please report back to help everyone.

I don't think POR II will reset it. Need Durametric or PIWIS. I cleared the code and it kept coming back which is why I think there's a wire cut or connection not secure. Even a cut wire is a 5 min fix with a solder filled shrink wrap. Can't imagine I cut a wire though. So, don't worry too much. If you are handy, you can tackle this but you will need a Durametric on hand to keep clearing and checking. If you don't have one, rent one from ebay for $99 or ask local. I think you said you are in Cleveland, OH area from previous post?
Or, of course, head to the dealer and open your wallet.

Yep, in the Cleveland area. I've been wanting a POR II so, I ordered one from Amazon for $150. Thats a deal anyway to reset my oil change light. Hopefully it could at least diagnose the fault. From what I've read, this light is an indication something is wrong. Now, I need to find a schematic on the SRS.

If you have the center console unplugged from the connector and the key is in the on position the airbag light comes on and stays on. The dealer has to reset it. Mine did the same thing when I installed my numeric shifter. Lesson is, don’t unplug that connector with key in on position.

Same thing happened to me when I removed my center console. My Por-II was able to reset it. I now have a I-carsoft CR Plus and I am not sure if it will reset it or not.
