Default ***Update***

Got water pump out and thermostat eventually. Thermostat housing top screw was a mother, I had E10 screws not hex, made it much harder. Anyway, my pump is as new but bearings make noise when spun, no wobble. Looks like this change is pro active and it would have failed soon. BTW, based on the uncircumcised gasket I had to snip it the original pump. Looks great even though car has at least 30 track days.
Hopefully my LN low temp thermostat and new pump will solve the heat issue.
Will post when back together.

ok, results are in. Finished the pump and LN low temp thermostat. Changed coolant.
Car now runs just below 200 on oil temp and bang on 175 on coolant temp.
Thanks for the comments!

Ok, one final comments. Here's the unusual part - I believe the pump original but 2 screws were about 10mm, not nearly long enough for thread engagement on the aluminum case. Only giving me about 2 threads max but even with on 7.5 lb/ft that not enough thread, you can bugger the aluminum. You could have use 20mm or longer all the way around which I did, or longer.
