None of the above. You won’t have anything that needs that much attention. Save the money for when that time comes.

With PDK and maximum miles driven, it might be worth it. But if it is a 6-speed and driving 3K miles a year, no way.

If its a weekend , sunny day car then I would say no. If its a DD then maybe. The only thing we worry about is the pdk. If you are only driving it 4-5 k a year save your money for when the car has over 60 k and its more likely to occur. That being said it does seem pretty reasonable. Who is the warranty thru? If its porsche then they know the real numbers for problems and even at those prices they are fully expecting you not to have any problems.

I'll have to be a contrarian on this one. For some background - in the past I've never, and I mean never, purchased extended warranties on anything. I just don't believe in them, in general.

However, my '07S 6-spd came with the option of purchasing the balance of a transferable Maxcare warranty. I said what the heck, since this is my first Porsche and I just didn't have the track record of knowing what to expect, despite a thorough, very favorable PPI and the guidance of the great community here at Rennlist. In the year I've owned it, it's paid out about half what I paid for the balance of the warranty. I had a front-end module go wonkers a couple months ago. Nothing catastrophic, but the bill went well past $1000 after diagnosis, labor, part, etc. I paid $150 deductible. I figure if I have one or two more of those smallish things go awry before it expires in mid-2021, I'll be ahead of the game...and (knock on wood) if anything significant occurs, I'm covered. There's a good amount of comfort knowing that, and it's been worth it to me. Again, I don't normally buy these things....never on electronics, new cars, etc. I'm a DIY'er on cars in general - but didn't have the equipment to diagnose the above. I may not have a lick of trouble in the next 3 years, and hope I don't...but I think there's some wisdom in considering it on an older, complex car like this. It doesn't take much dealer or indy fixin' on cars like these to go well beyond the $ you've cited above.

Either way - I wouldn't be pressured by that dealer's arbitrary Monday deadline. That's typical sales boobery and that deal can almost certainly be obtained later. Good luck!

Two issues: fuel pump $2k and pdk $$$$$. There are little things may nickel and dime like belt tensioners and etc.

Are you $1,799 for power train only? If so, yes.
