Default 997.2 C4S private party price?

A local guy is selling his C4S; it was posted F/S on the local facebook group. It is a 2009, serviced at the dealer exclusively, not tracked or driven hard. I have seen the car previously: it is an 8.5 out of 10, Arctic Silver over Black full leather, and no accidents. A driver, not a garage queen, which is just what I want. The car is a nice build: $111,000, manual, has Sport Exhaust, LSD (standard?) and Sport Chrono, but no sport seats.

Any idea what a reasonable offer is? The car is mine if the price is ballpark: he wouldn't say what he wants though, only that it needs to be more than a dealer would buy it for. 2009-2010 C4S manuals are few and far between, and tough to figure a price on.

Mileage is 51,000.

I was looking for a Cayman/Boxster S manual, but pricing is not that much different than a 997.2. I figure the latter will hold it's value better, and the 911 is a bit more iconic too.

Silver/Black is the most common color combo on a not so common build (C4S). Mid 50's is in the ballpark if all else checks out. That number is prolly in the sweet spot above dealer offer and a Private party sale. Check cargurus etc to verify.

I would pay as much as $57k for a car like that. For reference I purchased an almost identical car. Mine is exceptionally clean and with 14k/miles. I paid 65 last fall.

Are coupes more costly than cabs? I paid 53K for mine in November from a Porsche dealer including CPO. 51K miles on it. Can't imagine they paid more than 43K for it on trade.

Using price as an indication, it appears Coupes > Cabs and Manual > PDK > Triptronic. But a manual cab over a PDK coupe would be specific to the individual, I suppose.

If yours is a PDK Cab. It sounds about right to me. I'd add a few thousand $ each for a coupe and manual.

Mid-50's is a fair ball park. I'd go high 50's if it's what you want. Tough to find a 4S with a 6sp (I looked for over a year). Full leather, PSE, and Chrono are all desirable. LSD is standard.

Mine is a 6 speed but no Chrono, PSE or full leather. My sticker still $130K ! I think where I live by the ocean, cabs are very popular.

I just bought mine in the last month or so. I would echo the prices listed here. My configuration was similar. I would put the price in the $55K give or take a couple of K on condition.

Wow! $130k. That is a nice car.

I was thinking more like offering him $50k or so. Dealer offered $44,000. $55,000; that is a lot of money for a car with nearly 50,000 miles. These must have increased in value recently: I did a search on cars.com, and RAC has a similar C4S manual with 51,000 miles at $55,900.

I figured you would tell me the car was only worth $45-48k private party.

I will start at $50k and see if he is cool with that. I hope so!

I admit my opinion lacks objectivity. We're all fanatics here. If you close the deal let us know so we can recalibrate our reality.
