Default 2005 C2 Rainy Autocross

Yesterday I took my 05 C2 to the BMW CCA autocross in San Diego. It was rainy and super slippery. For context I'm an instructor for BMW CCA and have 32 years of autocross experience under my belt. My car is all stock except for CarboTech 1521 street pads.

This was my first event with this car. It was really interesting! Leaving the car in normal mode the dsc barely intervened. when I tried sport mode it became a mess! More sliding and the intervention was harsh and abrupt. It actually slowed me down by about 2 seconds. DSC completely off was better but still slower.

I have to say I had a blast with this car and can't wait for more track time with it!

Unlike my view of how much fun a DE is in the rain (it ain't, at least for me), a rainy AX is a blast!

I have found on a wet track PSM does a nice job of keeping things tidy.
