Default Mobilube PTX 75w90 alternatives for ATF/PDK

As some of you might be nearing the service interval of the automatic transmission fluid in their pdk what would alternatives be to the mobilube ptx?
this is the 3.12 quarts of atf oil NOT the pdk clutch fluid.

the manual transmission owners seem to mention that using anything other the the mobilube ptx causes shifting difficulties. Would it be same for the pdk?
can something like motul gear 300 be used instead?

nit sure why Porsche sells the outs only in 20 liter jugs.

PTX is for manual transmissions only. Stick with the factory recommendations for PDK.

Suncoast Parts repackages Mobilube PTX into 1 liter jugs. $39/liter. Call them before you order to make sure it's the right stuff.

I know suncoast is the best option for folks in the US. Unfortunately it cant be shipped international as the carriers place some restrictions.

I'm considering the Motul gear 300 75w90. its fully synthetic and not sure if thats ok for the transmission.

Actually Sunset Porsche has them in 1L bottles and is cheaper then Suncoast.

Which country are you located in? I would stick with the PTX. For the manual transmissions, there are treads here where owners tried different transmission fluids from Delvac, Shell, Motul, Redline, Millers etc

Part number 000-043-305-49 seems to be the mobilube ptx 75w90. Available in many US Porsche dealerships in one litre bottles

We use Driven Go 75w90 LS (with limited slip additive) in the diff (gear) side of the PDK.

Likewise, we use Driven DCT in place of the Pentosin/OE PDK lube. Also works for DSG boxes.

i have checked the above info with 2 different porsche dealerships. The above part number is the mobilube ptx. So anyone want to change their pdk transmission or manual transmission oil and do want want to use alternatives, find the above part number at your porsche dealer. Many sell it for all low as $26 per quart online.

Hi Presto, did you use the Motul gear 300? I am facing similar situation here : no international shipping and only 20l container.
If yes do you recommend? Thank you in advance for reply.

I used Motul Gear 300 on my manual transmission 2008 and 2012. The PTX shifted much easier at low temps. However, in the PDK, I don't expect it would be a noticeable difference but my preference would be for the PTX. However, Motul makes first rate products. The dealer installed the three liters of PTX for me and only charged one-half hour of labor and washed my car. I brought them my own PTX that I purchased from Sunsetporscheparts.com.

While I know PTX is worshipped on these forums my car has always preferred Castrol Syntrax LS 75W90. 2011 997.2 manual.

Same for me but my car has done well with motul gear 300 (so far one cold day of driving, but significant improvement) over PTX
