Default PDK Clutch Fluid Change in Texas

Time to perform the 6 year PDK clutch fluid change on my 2012 997.2 s. Can anyone recommend a shop in the San Antonio, Houston or Dallas area?

if you're in the Dallas area, head over to RacPerformance. Mine is there for service now.

Saw Modern Aircooled in Houston servicing a 997 turbo PDK last weekend if you're in that area.

Visit your local dealer - after all it's a PDK you are dealing with...

my car was there for other services (schedule maintenance). I've used them for years & very satisfy. I did ask the service advisor
guy about the PDK fluid flush & he said about $575

I got mine done recently. Had to take to dealer b/c of something to do with the refill procedure needing the PIWIS. Indy that I go to couldn’t do it, so I would check first with the shop!

This is true. If you're shop doesn't have a PIWIS they're not doing it by the book. There may be a work around the aftermarket has figured out but the official way definitely requires the PIWIS tester.

That's a pretty big geographical area - which city are you closest to? Houston and Dallas have multiple Porsche dealers, I believe SAT only has one but there is one in Austin too. I'd prefer any PDK service be done by dealer service departments. Let us know what you decide to do.

The pdk only holds approx 5.3 litres from dry. A drain and refill will only change about 3.5 litres of the 5.3 so the charge should be for 4 litres of fluid not 7. It takes no more than an hour. Some 09 models require a pan replacement, and then you may get a bit more out. The remainder will stay in the cooler and the clutch pack. I watched the tech do the service in the shop bay.

For my 2 cents take the trip to Porsche Plano. Aaron and Larry truly care about the client experience and are great guys. The techs in the shop are long term Porsche guys and have all the tools to deliver.
