Default Stone Guard install

Just installed the stone guards from Precision Autowerks....took 30 minutes which includes the time to remove the old ones with a hair dryer....This is the after pic....looks brand new....no more "yellow" factory ones!

That's probably a good thing that is not easily seen.

Great job! When you can't see the seams then you did it right!

They really were easy to install...watching the youtube video suggested in the included instructions really helped.....the $150 quote by the local Virginia Beach clear-bra installer, helped me even more! LOL

I am trying to determine the website (precision autowerks) where you bought your stone guards? I ask because my (new to me) 06 CS could use new ones

Thanks for the help,
Brandon

The contact info is actually in this thread, 4 posts above you....he posted a reply to my initial posting. Good luck, I'm very happy with the product and the ease of the install.

Looking for help. Just finished mine, they look awful.
They are porsche original but they look super rough, not clear. Did I screw it up or are these bad ?

used dish soap in water for lubricant and a proper wrap squeegee. Paint was super cleaned and polished prior

Does not look right, if your car is Black you would notice the film more, but it should not be that different (it should look 90% transparent). You say they are original, does that mean you have had them in your garage for 10 years, or did you just go out and buy them? Soap an water will not affect the plastic, but other things like harsh cleaners might.

Is is there a protective layer on top of the film that peels off possibly?

A seperate clear film over the front side also, I did not see it as it was bonded so well, looks perfect now.
I thought it didn't look right... thanks!
