2007 S 6MT, thoughts?
There is a 2007 997 S for sale at a P dealer in Lancaster PA. 61k miles, manual, sport chrono. **Says one accident, right rear, on Carfax.** I would get PPI and DME. But prior to that is $39k too much?

Having just spent 6 months actively searching...IMO, the price is too high if it were offered via private sale. However, this is not a private sale.
If you can negotiate the price down a bit, PPI/DME pending, then it may be closer to a fair deal with the added bonus of a dealer's security/certainty of sale. If you like the color combo, then even better.
What sort of service history does it come with? How long do you plan to own it?

Thanks for the response.

Tough call, it's a manual gearbox coupe at a Porsche dealership. Someone will buy it. That being said, try offering them mid $30's, but don't negotiate too long if the PPI checks out (and you like the vehicle).

I think its too high. You should be able to find plenty of a clean 06-08 S 6MTs with <45k miles for around $42k. It might require some patience and $1k to ship it, but there are many good examples out there.
With those miles alone that car should likely trade around $38. Subtract another 10% for the accident report. I'd bid $35 and walk for anything above $36.
If you pull the trigger you can also request the original accident report from the local police department.

I'd say it's a fairly reasonable dealer price. Private party would be lower, but not by that much. It's an unusual, but quite nice, color combo. I agree that you need details on the accident/repair. It will be particularly important if/when you decide to sell. If the accident was minor and the repair good (and PPI checks out), I would think that it would be well-bought at $38,000 from a dealer. Maybe they can sweeten the deal in some way. Just my opinion.

Here is a clean Car Fax 2008 with 49k miles for $43. $39K is way too much for 66k and been in an accident.

If not opposed to an accident, here is a 2009 C4S with 66k miles for $42k. It has sport bucket seats as well.

This looks like a really well cared for car. I can only detect a couple of common wear points out of so many possible ones we normally see. Of course photos can hide a lot and seeing person would help. You never know the previous owner might have been as **** as myself and others I know. They could have put thousands into it like shocks or rotors or control arms. Obviously a good PPI will help, the problem with a lot of PPIs is they don't tell you the good things a previous owner did. When I sold my Boxster to a gentleman that has now become a friend he told me the tech said he was concerned that there were so many new suspension parts on the car. People always look for the bad and not what someone might be doing for the good. He told the tech I was totally **** and liked to make a 105k mile car feel more new like. But I digress...If the PPI comes out good and you can talk them down a couple K then enjoy the ride! It is at that mileage where if you put 15k a year on it it will devalue it quite a bit. I personally have no problem with a higher mileage car but around here it seems anything over 80k miles should be avoided or at least isn't worth over $30k (at least a lot of members seem to think that). However you will have a ton of enjoyment if you put 50k miles on it over the next 4 years and it would have been well worth it.
I couldn't pull the carfax. The autocheck was so so helpful. If you are really concerned you could pull the accident report. My Boxster was backed into I got a new bumper, the body shop I go to wouldn't warranty a repair, heck nothing wrong with a new oem bumper!!
