Default Rare Option (what was the cost?)

The 997.1 Cabriolet I just bought is an immaculately maintained car, low mileage car. I couldn't pass it up. It's an '05 with an unusual leather color interior. It's a brownish, dark color. Very nice looking. I'd like to find out what it's called.

My rare option is a "Porsche built in telephone" mounted next to the console on a matching leather mount. The phone is black and has a cord for the hand unit. It's very rare and probably outdated but I'm curious what it was sold for as an option in 2005? Kinda cool though, eh?

leather color is called cocoa, and while unusual i dont think its considered rare. personally i love the color. the phone is not a phone in itself, but i believe it is a handset for the phone built into the PCM system, requiring a SIM card. thats rare, but o ly because it was not very popular when most started carrying smart phones.

Funny to consider the prevalence of hands free laws now was unforeseen in 2005.

I can recall having a similar phone installed in a couple of my cars back in the 90's that were not linked to a handheld phone. The traditional car phone that just stays in the car. Before I got my first Motorola brick.

I had my first car phone in 1985, yes I'm that old! Hands free was considered normal back then, funny how times have changed and so many people consider texting and playing with their phone while driving "normal".

Cocoa is like an old leather jacket, comfortable, it's classy, and with the white exteriuor it's great, nice one. PS the 'phone' is a great talking piece.

Schweet! Love the color combo. White Pcars look amazing. Is the emblem on the deck OEM...don't recall seeing that before.
