Default Seat Belt Adjuster Cover B Pillar 997S

I recently traded the 964 C4 which I help for 20 years for a 997S.

I am now looking for a plastic cover for the front Seat Belt adjuster of the 997S.

The part number which comes up is quoted at US$94 each but it looks no where like the remaining good one on my car?? To make matters worse there is no part number on the good plastic cover.

I have attached a photo of my good and serviceable cover which shows NO damage of any parts having been broken.

Try LA Dismantlers or DC Automotive

What year? Coupe, convertible or targa? What's the part number you sourced?

Try taking the spaces out of the PN when you google it. Here's one with a pic, it's the item you want. I've bought from these guys before, they're legit. http://www.autoatlanta.com/Porsche-S...0a03-srch.html

Thanks Ben Z,

They do not have a photo of the underside of the cover. But I am guessing from the cost that it is not the simple version which I have??!!

Bloody confusing.

what makes you think that it is not just the simple cover you have? everything on these cars is expensive, especially when it has to be sourced from a dealer. based on the description of " Belt Adjuster Cover - Black", I'd venture a guess that it is exactly what you are looking for. Just wait until you have to do a water pump, starter, or be crazy enough to source OE pads/rotors.

No, the exterior of the plastic cover looks the same but the innards are completely different. Mine also does not have a PN inscribed which throws me. To buy two matching covers ( PN:997 803 521 00 AO3) we are talking in the order of A$300 PLUS. if they turn out to be the incorrect part then I could expect hours of frustration???

By the way, this is my third 911 over 25 years and I have always brought my own spare parts even if a third party fits them when I bulk at the challenge!!!

I purchased two from a wrecker in the States and both are the same as the original one on the car when I took delivery.
Still no part number but no way matching the Porsche version as per the catalogue Part Number.
The two fitted perfectly.
Very interesting, first time that I ever had a mismatch??

I has this "problem" too. Then I realized that the new complicated cover comes apart. The "simple" plastic cover unsnaps from the more complicated innards.
