Default Removing Aerokit wing from GTS

Looking at buying a GTS with factory Aerokit. How difficult is it to remove the wing? Any body work required afterwards? Thanks.

You realize that a GTS with Aerokit is pretty rare and hacking it off takes a good chuck of value off it. I think it’s the whole deck lid, not just the wing. Take it off and give it to me. I’ll take it

Nope, I didn't realize that it would require a hack job, hence the question. Yes, it is a rare car and has some great options so hopefully it passes the PPI with flying colours. I'll learn to be a wing guy. Thanks!

hack job??? It's literally four bolts for the wing plus a code job and two push pins for the front spoiler.

it took me about an hour to do the entire job, but i did the reverse and added the aerokit.

If you buy it and want to swap, i'll trade you my pristine GTS decklid plus cash for the wing. i'll even deliver it to your doorstep.

If you don't like it but it was part of the original spec of the car, remove the complete decklid, keep it (build a hanger or shelf for it on the garage wall), and install something else. That way you can put it back on if you ever decide the sell the car.

I second that...

This is the right way to go. Always keep the original items that you take off from your car.

Don't listen to them. Sell me the wing. I'm your friend.

Jaws,
Did you ever do this? I am looking to pick up a 2016 GTS with the Aerokit, and remove the Aerokit wing/ducktail....

[I’d keep the OEM parts, apparently. :-) ]

Did you ever figure a full price? I can’t see the rear deck lid on Suncoast. They have the 991.2, but not the 991.1.
