Default Head Light Clear Film

I have an 06 997 that I have sanded and polished out the head light lenses. Is it safe to apply clear film for added protection and preservation to the headlights and fog lights? I have applied an ultraviolent product and checked with the manufacture of the product and they approved filming over their product.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any help.

The short answer is yes. I have done exactly that on a couple of cars.

Yes. Xpel makes a DIY kit that will cover headlights and running/signal lights. Quite thick and great protection. Have on my 993.

I did the same thing but rather than coat with ultraviolet protectant, I just assumed XPEL will provide that protection anyway. I worry about the peeling of the protectant.

I used a Lamin-X kit for mine that worked well. Same principle as Xpel. Almost a no brainer requirement on these cars because of our low front end and a 2/10 for DIY difficulty. Protip, leave the lights installed when doing this.

I'd like to do this to my headlights. What product/method did you use, and how did it turn out?

Thanks

Suncoast sells a precut kit for the headlights and fog lights. That what I used on my 2 997s

I haven't used this one, but anything similar to this method should give you good results.
