Default 2008 Porsche 997.1 missing the red jump fuse

My battery is dead so I tried to power the red pull out fuse in the kick panel. That's when I noticed I don't even have one! My 01' Boxster has one but it's missing in the 911. It looks like it was never even in the box. I don't see anything in the spot where it goes showing something was there before.

Anyone else have this ? Or not have it I should say. I wanna open the frunk to jump the car.

I remember reading that the pull out fuse can be pushed back in so far that it may not be easily seen or even pushed into the space behind the plastic fuse panel.

I got frunk open via cable in driver fender well. I'll have to check behind the fuse box tomorrow.

here's mine with the red pull out. Guess the previous owner pull it out & forgot to plug it back in your car

With a dead battery you can't open the trunk to get to the battery . This is where you connect the positive of your jumper battery(negative to frame) then open with key fob.

If the battery goes dead it gives you a place to hook up 12v so that the frunk open button on the key can pop the frunk to gain access to the battery for charging or replacement.

aha! Thanks folks. Will need to check on mine when I get it out of storage. I don't remember this being an option on my Boxster (an early version 986 - 03S; maybe did not have it)

i first thought my car did not have the red jump point as well. It had been pushed back way into the fusebox. I had to stick a flashlight in the hole where it normally is to see it hiding behind. I spent sometime with a needle nose plier to putt it out but just ended up scratching it. So,to get it out you need to remove the 3 philips screws and remove the trim surrounding the fuse box (see attached pic). Then from the right side of the red jump lead you can stick your fingers behind the fuse box and push it out through the hole. SImply diy and should not take more than 5 minutes. Just need a screwdriver thats all.
