Yeah what's the point of a GT3 without the wing? Just get a 991.2 GTS if you want to tour. and congrats on the allocation!!!
You should add a poll to this thread.
And you should ask the same exact question in the 997 GT3/2 forum.
The 4.0 race engine...

That and I'm sure there are other reasons too. I'm a pragmatist so I don't understand why someone buys a track based car to not drive on the track, but I get that some people dig that.
I'll also admit that I'm currently a bit of a hypocrite owning the top tier street Carrera that sees most of its time on the track, but when I bought it, I didn't realize I'd get sucked in to tracking so much. Ergo, I should put my money where my mouth is and get a (winged) GT3/RS.

GT3s are belong to the track. So yes, wing, bucket seats, and steel brakes please. But it is your car so choice is yours and don't ask people around.

Bad **** Porsches are meant to have and have had big **** tails every since the 1975 930. That said, throwing crappy, cheap GT3 RS type wings on C2s is ridiculous, but factory areo kits are tasteful appropriate and can look really cool mon a coupe. I have always driven turbos and candidly thought NA, non-aero 911s could look a bit geekly, egg shaped and awkward, I, however, am not a fan of these after market turbo look tails on NA cars. I have yet to see an aftermarket tail on a water pumper that look natural and cool.

For me... Absolutely with that wing for the downforce and look. Get a Carrera otherwise B-)

No interest in living a larger than life boy-racer persona, so my Touring allocation is the perfect car for me!

I agree with this. If you are not tracking it then just get the GTS.

Personally I'd go 6MT with Touring package. PTS Modegrau.

I'm usually for subtle, however the outlandish styling of the GT3 is a by-product of the functionality so it's not for nothing. If you're gonna get a GT3 get a GT3 with the wing, it's supposed to look like a race car. If you want more subtle get a Turbo.
