How much for 997.2 C4S?
I’m looking at a 997.2 C4S 22k mile, 6 sp manual, stock/no mods. Fairly low optioned with standard leather, regular/comfort seats, no sports chrono, Bose/nav/sat radio. What do you guys think is a fair price? I don’t have access to Mannheim prices and pricing for these vehicles seems pretty varied.
The car would probably need new tires and brakes fairly soon. Non CPO.
Thanks.

Thanks, mid fifties was what I was thinking also but just wanted to confirm in case I was off base. Seller asking $65k so I may just walk if they don’t budge.
I was a little surprised at the brakes but the wear indicator was within a millimeter or 2, at least from my quick once over and not measuring.
Tires we’re definitely worn. My sense is the car is in need of some fairly expensive service(tires, brakes, minor/major service based on years). $65k is top dollar and these items will add a few more thousand so it will quickly be a $75k plus car with taxes. Of course you have to pay to play.

Where are you located? I'm selling my 2010 C2S, 6-spd, Black/Black. Higher mileage than the one you were looking at (60k) but up to date on all major services. Also has new pads and rotors. When I picked it up I had the dealer put in a new steering rack, clutch assembly, and flywheel while they were in there. None were required, but I wanted it to be perfect. Only reason I'm selling is a friend is moving from a 991 S to a GT3, and I'd always planned on buying their 991 (just got impatient waiting for my first 911 ). Car is located in the Seattle area. Priced in the mid-fifties but negotiable. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

There are what 9-12? 997.2 C4s with manual for sale in the country right now. The price is off by about $6k. Buying a 997 in Black, grey or silver you have options. Any other color forget about it. Personally I would buy the 36,000 mi in Blue with tan for $58k as its a more rare color. DC911's car is also a winner because he is a long time forum member.
The C4S is a popular car because you get a lot of the turbo goodies without the $40k price jump, and resale prices validate it. Point being, it might be difficult to work them down as it a hard car to find (C4S, coupe, manual), especially with the low miles and condition (the pictures show a pristine example).

If you are talking about rotors, I think total allowable wear from new is only 2mm, so the brakes may not be shot.

fyn - thanks for the offer but I'm in the Chicago area and I want to stay local. Good luck with the sale.
Regarding the brakes, I was looking at the pads and guesstimating how much was left. I'm certainly no expert. They might still be ok and I'm not too hard on brakes.
Thanks for the responses. I'll make an offer and I'll keep looking in the meantime. I don't mind more miles as long as the car has a decent service history. Sometimes I get caught up in how pristine the car is and I've bought some low mileage garage queens. For some reason though, I don't hang on to them long.
These days, I look for cars that I will enjoy driving. I've learned the hard(costly) way that the best car is the one I'm driving or can't wait to drive. For instance, the first Boxster I bought is the one I currently own and to me, its the best convertible that Porsche makes. I can't wait for spring when it comes out of hibernation. But there is something about a 911 and the 997 is at the stage where its old enough to be somewhat affordable and still have most of the tech of the newer cars.

OP, I think it’s easily a $60k car if one owner and prestine.
I just paid 65 for a cream puff one-owner 14k-mile (zero-overrev) C4S manual/coupe in October. I realize I may have overpaid, but I don’t think by much and she was too clean to come apart with the seller over a couple grand. Good luck!

My car is very nice, but not "super" clean, but pretty darn nice. . I am 4th owner. The car had full service history. Never painted or accident. I think the price was very good for this car. It is not clean enough to be a garage queen. It's a driver. I think the price was right on for this car.

So I offered $60k and no response. Not even a counter offer. Although there may not be too many C4S manual coupes for sale right now, it isn’t exactly the prime time to sell a sports car.
i think you guys got good deals. I would probably pay over $60k but they didn’t even call back. Yes, I could call back but I’ll wait.
