Best 997.1 LED Tail Light
#2
I always wondered what happens if someone backs into it and cracks a taillight...can you get an exact replacement for just one aftermarket light or would you need to buy the pair over again (assuming that brand is even still being made at the time)?

Good reason to hang on to your OEM take-off's.

My favorite tail light for the 997.1 is the OE solid red version. I prefer that to the aftermarket LEDs.

Forgot the brand, I think DEPO (not the one posted above), but there are two main models, one looks a lot more like 997.2, one doesn't... go for the one that's closer.

This was what I had on my 997 a few years ago.. Those were sold by Spyder Auto, but I think they were made by DEPO only.
They are like the ROTTec lights, but were cheaper to purchase at that time. I got the smoked version, since I didn't like clear or all-red lights on an already red car
These weren't the tear-drop tail lights, so they aren't the 997.2 styled ones.
In the 3 years that I had them on, I did not have any issues with the lights. I don't know if they still make these.
Sorry about the image sizes.. didn't realize they were huge before uploading..
