You should get a set, they really transform the look of the car and are absolute classics. Also, they offer the added benefit of being slightly lighter than the stock wheels (1-2 lbs a corner).
And no, you are not the only one I also find that the bumpers look a different shade from the rest of the car depending on lighting and angle.
