I like the logo. Hey that looks like my friend’s Z28.

Thumbs down

First thing I did to my 997 was remove the orange Carrera S decal similar to dougkeen's stripe - it's not a Turbo!

I am considering the black decal on my white gts to go with the black wheels but never seen any photos. Might be a hit/miss.

It's a decal. Try it and if you don't like it, remove it. No harm no foul.

I will add that there is a local guy here that has pulled this off flawlessly.

Its a really clean black 997.1 C2, on Black wheels, lowered a bit, with the flat black sticker. its just enough to notice the sticker is there and it looks really good.

I added the decal on mine a while back. It was a DIY job and I got the decals from eBay - pretty cheap compared to the OEM ones.
The 2010 Boxster Spyder had them, and it looked fine. So I don't see a reason why convertibles "should not" have these.

no reason to buy oem ever as long as renndecals is in business. $59 last time I checked. Install is easy as long as you work clean and have lots of lube....soapy water spray.

That's the idea I was going for with the arctic silver. In direct sunlight or looking straight on the stripes look like the same colour but with slightly matt or unclear coated finish. Pretty cool in person. The PORSCHE is light grey and shows as that whatever the lighting conditions.

Here ya go... a little photoshop job I did for ya! Plus a couple pics of my "personalizaton". I personally enjoyed adding decals to my car, stoneguards, and stripes. I got a bit creative, but if I tire of this look it's not big deal to rip the decals off. I had the "dentist/doctor" OEM pristine look for 5 years and then decided to spice things up and add some "sportiness" with some decals. Added 50 hp too

To me it transformed the look of the car from a gentlemen's gt to a little bit of a bad boy urban outlaw kind of feel. I was really just going for a conservative 1970s porsche racer look. Nothing too crazy, but there is always a fine line between "patina and the junkyard" or the "gold pin stripe" line in the sand some have crossed over. Maybe some think I already crossed that line But I really enjoy it, and that's what makes me happy for now.

In many ways it gave me a new found reason to enjoy my car. Makes it just different enough that you get even more excited again to stare at your car and take photos. If you change your mind, your out less than $100 and it's 5 minutes to remove them. No harm, no foul.... But then again, if you like them, then that is all that matters and it will give you lots of reasons to stare at your car from every angle non-stop
