what is this part i broke?
i'm replacing the control arms on my 997.1 cab, and when i used a ball joint separator to pop the left front coffin arm ball joint, this dropped down. it broke from a two-arm lever which connects to a switch. this is behind the left front wheel; the rear flange for the coffin arm is in the left of the image.
thanking in advance. this resource is amazing.

I am pretty sure that is the headlight leveling system. I suspect you have those headlights that move?
I can't fully remember, but that plastic bracket is attached to one of the control arms and it is secured with a pin via a hole in the arm. I broke mine but where the pin was because I couldn't figure out how to remove it... I just glued it back into place on my new arm... but I had removed the lever via that nut first.
Don't fret, that part is in the Porsche catalog with a part number... download the catalog from Porsche and find it specific to your car. https://www.porsche.com/usa/accessor...artscatalogue/
If you can't wait for the part, I would lash that stuff together so it won't flop around... you may get an error code if the value it sends is out of range. Or... repair it with JB Weld.
