Bronz's 997.2 C4S
Ever since i was a kid ive been dreaming about a Porsche 911, and this weekend my dream finally came true!
I have been looking for the right deal for about 6months now and one finally popped up in San Antonio, TX. I acted quickly, placed a deposit, got a ppi done and with a clean bill of health, i decided to pull the trigger. Flew out with one of my friends, and we drove the car straight thru in 22hrs back to Chicago. 1250 miles total, and the car was flawless. Did i mention that it has the carbon buckets? Theyre not the most comfortable for trips this length, but the seats are amazing for short spirited drives!!
I bought the car from a dealership, but luckily i found a registration in the glove box and was able to locate the previous owner. We just chatted for 20mins over the phone and what a stand up guy he is! He told me that the car was maintained religiously, and the required maintenance was done on time. The PDK trans flush was done at 60k, which at first i was worried about since i bought the car with 66k and was not sure if the po had done it. He even offered me to mail all the records and original PARTS he has from the car!! It just shows the character and enthusiasm of Porsche owners.
This will become my timeline and i will update this thread as i do mods, maintenance and other fun stuff with the car.

GTS front bumper (currently missing lip, previous owner had a speedster lip and had cracked)

Gorgeous. Congrats on finding a great car and a great previous owner. Now, get out there and drive it before the salt trucks hit the roads!

I'm glad that you jumped on this deal last week and didn't listen to the hypochondriacs of the rennlist community! I purchased a Meteor Grey C2S this past summer and still look for any excuse to take it for a drive. Congratulations and welcome to the P-Club!
Side note...I read somewhere in the GT4 forum that they sell seat bolster protectors for the sport buckets. Maybe they're worth looking into to preserve your seats.

More pics ... including those seats. Well done, and a trip like that is the right way to get used to a new car. Congrats.
