Because we drove up 8 floors to the top of the parking garage to find the “perfect” parking space.

Anyone else do this when they’re in a public parking garage?

Yes, like you I always look for the perfect space. Don't want a door ding to ruin my day. Your emergency brake must be working well on the steep downhill grade.

I parked next to the wall to make sure two people couldn't park next to me. My wife screamed, "no one else is even parking up here!"

Where in Philly was the garage with the open deck at the top? I'd park there. BTW, I do exactly the same thing. My wife gets my paranoia, but still calls me a "chucklehead!"

It’s the PPA lot off 9th and Market. There’s also one at 8th but that one gets more traffic.

We are all insane....but I think I have you all beat. I am so programmed to do exactly what you all are doing that even when I rent a car, I look for the perfect spot. To make matters worse if it gets too dirty I wash the damn thing! Married 31 years, she has accepted the insanity.

I never park in parking structures EVER! In California its a neon invitation to help yourself to everything in my car.

I almost always go straight to the top, just because it's way less of a hassle to find a spot, get in and out, and it makes it super easy to remember where I parked.

Remember - the sun kills interiors. Shrinks leather, cracks vinyl, dries it all out. I wouldn't park on the roof.
