I just pulled the trigger on a '12 GTS and it has a July/11 build date as well. Serial no ends in 520.

Where did you find a GTS and is it a manual?

Weird. My -11 GTS was first titled January 3, 2012 best I can tell suggesting a late 2011 build but still a 2011.

Mine was built in May of '11 with warranty start in July of '11 but lists as a 2012.

Look on the underside of the driver’s door and the build date will be shown on the decal there. I suspect yours was built the spring of ‘11.

On Autotrader. Yes, mt. Factory Aerokit cup pkg, adaptive seats, sport exhaust... I think it’s a pretty rare car.

When were the last 997s manufactured? Any idea as to the last serial numbers? Thanks.

My C4S has a Prod Month: 06/2012.
Bought it new 08/2012.

Our 997.2 GTS (it’s actually his, but I like to call it ours) has a build date of 7/12. If it’s typically risky to order one of the first-built of a new model to roll off the production line, then is it any assurance of a well sorted more reliable car to buy one of the last of the breed to be built?

I would tend to agree with your statement, assuming it was not built on a Friday afternoon just after the Zuffenhausen Factory Worker's Picnic. Prost! ;)
