If you fade to F the volume goes down completely and fade to R gives you full speaker volume. Keep it zeroed out and make sure your factory unit is zeroed out when you disconnect.

Also I get a slight pop from the speakers when I turn off the ignition. This appears to be because the aftermarket stereo is turning off before the Bose amp has had time to power down. It would probably be an issue with any MOST HUR unit and many other traditional aftermarket installs that work with separate amps. The solution is to have the amp (MOST HUR box) direct wired to the ACC to shut off immediately and then run the head units ACC line on a delay diode/circuit so it delays ever so slightly shutting down AFTER the amp does.

Its not a huge deal but if you want it perfect, that may be something you want to do.

Hi Mike,

I also bought this MOST from same seller and had an installer do it for me. I hear background noise (or radio) when my 4200nex is ON but NOT playing anything. Have you noticed similar thing?

I have asked seller about this and he said he will send me in/out filter to get rid of this but I honestly don't think thats the issue.

Hi there. obviously we have different head units but on my set up I'm not getting noise. I did solder my connections and tape them up pretty well.

I don't think it is head unit but MOST device. I heard same issue on the other forum as well. There is no background noise at all in your set up?

None at all for me. So it's possible there are either differences in quality control or differences in our installation or differences in our components but I don't know which one it is.

Just to be clear, this headunit does not have navigation, correct?

Check your ground connections carefully. Made ground is biggest cause of noise.

The Blau San Jose is not a nav receiver. You can buy any head unit you want though if you want one with Nav. There is a $400 Sony media receiver that does Car Play and Android Auto so you can use your phone's nav and other functions on screen.

Plenty of options out there. Just depends on what you want in features.

The only ground connection I used is the one coming from original PCM cable. Is there any other source I need to use to eliminate background noise?

Is it alternator whine? I noticed that the HUR box thing doesn't exactly have the best quality RCA connectors...

if it's just alternator whine, then a ground loop isolator would fix that. if it's just noisy, it might be because of quality connectors on the HUR box and not much to do about that.

yeah it is actually more of alternator whine. Where can I find this ground loop isolator? Would it affect anything else?

how is your FM radio reception? I have very weak FM radio reception after installing the Metra adapter.

Anyone know how to fix it?

Mine is much better than it was on the stock head unit. I can get stations in clear i never could. I did only hook up the fm antenna.

Thanks for posting your ebay MOST HUR find and review. I ordered the same adapter and will be replacing my head unit this weekend.
The screen on my stock unit died over a year ago. Everything else still works, I just have to navigate settings by memory. I procrastinated replacing it, bc I thought my only option would be $1000+.

I had bad experience with eBay MOST adapter. I keep hearing background noise when unit is OFF or volume is in MUTE.

I am not sure if I am the only one having this bad noise or others having it as well. Long story short, I replaced it with NAV-TV and I did not have this problem at all.

My 2 cents
