Default F/S - 18" Carrera III wheels with Blizzak LM-60 Winter Tires

Set of 18” OE Carrera III wheels with Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 Winter Tires that will fit 997 (narrow body), 996, 928, and 944. These were my dedicated winter set-up for my recently sold 2006 997.1 C2S Cabriolet. The wheels have scratches and are not cosmetically perfect. They are suitable as track or dedicated winter tires, but could be professionally refinished.

WHEELS are Porsche OE-
8Jx18-ET57 (PN – 997.362.136.00)
10Jx18-ET58 (PN – 997.362.140.01)

TIRES are Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60
Front: 225/40R18; 9/32” tread (11/32” is new)
Rear: 255/40R18; 7/32” tread (11/32” is new)

All four tires have 9,478 miles of usage (I keep a detailed spreadsheet), and I went as narrow as possible on the rims to enable excellent deep snow traction. We get 350+ inches of yearly snow in Park City, and this set up worked well. Lots of fun driving a RWD P-car in the snow!

Sell for $1000 + shipping (open to local pick up near Salt Lake City as well)

Estimated Shipping Costs: (via FedEx Ground)
NYC (Zip 10001) = $239
MIA (Zip 33018) = $238
CHI (Zip 60645) = $180
LA (Zip 90001) = $122

Front Tire & Wheel weigh 46 lbs. each
Rear Tire & Wheel weigh 53 lbs. each

Hi JO911. Thanks for posting that question... I learned a lot...

These are directional tires, and I purchased the fronts from Tire Rack on 9/7/12 and the rears from Tire Rack on 10/23/12. They were run on the car for 3 winters (12/13, 13/14, 14/15).

Tire Build Dates:
Front Left: 35W of 2011
Front Right: 22W of 2012
Rear Left: 20W of 2011
Rear Right: 16W of 2011

The big surprise is that the FRONT LEFT tire is a LM-60 RUN FLAT (RFT), whereas all the others are not. Looks like Tire Rack shipped it to me by mistake and I ran it for three years without noticing...

Best,
-Blake

255s in the rear work on a widebody 997? Or is 60mm less tire too much?

Honestly, I just didn't want to buy the C4S (wide body) preferring the lower weight and drive feel of the C2S (narrow body). To make the car really good in deep snow, I went with the most narrow tires that I could put on the Carrera III rims, and of course only went with Blizzaks (best studless winter tires IMHO). The car was a heck of a lot of fun in the snow with this set up!

As a side, I did add spacers in the rear to bring the wheels out further - purely for aesthetic purposes.
