Default MAF connector question

I removed my air cleaner assy for the first time. I notice that my MAF connector just pulls straight off, no locking tab like my other 996 NA.

Is this normal? Maybe the locking tab broke?

Thanks!

Pretty sure you are correct should "spin" once the set bolt is loosened...will check tomorrow

My other 996 NA has a locking tab that you squeeze to release the connector. The TT connector just pulls straight off. Is this normal?

Not normal, Turbos have a squeeze tab as well.

Pretty sure you need to squeeze to remove.

It looks like my locking mechanicnism is missing from the connector. Does anyone have a PN for the connector?

Thanks!

Here is a photo of the connector. I am missing the locking clamshell piece.

I don't think this helps (there's no P/N, sorry), but in case it does somehow, here is a pic I have from when I last messed with mine:

Think the only thing you can do,is go to the Pors he recylers and see if they will give you the harness.
There are few if you google.

Where's the best place to buy mass airflow sensor and what should it cost? I understand that Porsche and Bosch are the same except for price.

If anyone is interested I found a source for the Bosch MAF sensor female connector. They cost like $13.50 plus $3.00 for shipping.

I purchased two, and they are a perfect fit, and have the same pn# as original. You will also have to purchase a Bosch pin extractor to remove the connector pins to install in the new connector.
